Y3 got started on Maths day a little early by having a beetle drive. They were brilliant at quickly rolling their dice to make sure they got the maximum amount of rolls in to increase their chance of winning. Congratulations to our beetle drive winners!
Y3 played a times table snap game to practise their 8 times table. They had to match times table number sentences with products, inverse facts and visual representations.
Y3 enjoyed plying a times table game today. If they got their beanbags onto the circle they scored 8, in the hoop scored 4 and outside the hoop scored 3. They worked out each times table and then used a column addition to find the total.
Y3 used our carpet tiles to create a grid so that they could practise writing algorithms. They had to write a set of instructions to move their partner from one spot on the grid to another. If it went wrong they had to debug their algorithms.
Y3 are making an animal inspired wall hanging in DT. The first phase is to use stencils and transfer paints to make animal skin and eye prints which will be transferred to a piece of poly-cotton.
